Healing the epidemic of dis-connection, one heart at a time.

“I am not aware of any other factor in medicine that has a greater impact on our survival than the healing power of love and intimacy. Not diet, not smoking, not exercise, not stress, not genetics, not drugs, not surgery.” – Love & Survival, Dean Ornish (MD, cardiologist)
Dr. Ornish identified in his book Love and Survival that physical heart disease is only a symptom of what he calls spiritual heart disease and epidemic: loneliness, isolation, alienation, and depression.
Based on my own life experience and working with clients, the irony is that the very ways humans use to protect ourselves from emotional pain are often the very same defenses that increase our loneliness, isolation, alienation, and depression.
We all long to be loved, connected, and cared for, feeling deeply seen and heard, a sense of belonging …
This is way deeper than getting along with people,
way beyond people pleasing
way beyond morphing yourself into a version of yourself that you believe helps others to like you
Yet, somewhere along the way, we have lost touch with who we are as we learned to hide behind a veil, often unconsciously.
This healing work is not an easy journey but lifting that veil allowing you to know who you are, opens the door for others to see you too.
